Independent Power Projects (IPPs)

 

  • In 1989, we advised on Australia's first IPP, the Wyangala Dam hydro-electric project in New South Wales
 
  • We have advised on construction, engineering, fuel purchase, power sale and financing agreements as they relate to IPPs.
 
  • With the heightened awareness of the importance of sustainability of energy production and of the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we have advised on IPPs involving all fuel types: coal, natural gas, hydro-power, biomass, coal seam methane and wind energy.
